FOOTSCRAY 150 SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS
These races are part of the celebrations to mark the 150th Anniversay of the inagural council meeting on 1st July 1859 when Footscray City Council was initially delcared. The races are open to registered Footscray Club Members and residents of the City of Maribyrnong. Entries will be accepted at 9am, 19th July, 2009.

Squads have now been selected for the Swimming Victorian 2009/2010 Develpment Program.
Khoa Le has made the Victorian Target 2012 Bronze Squad
Lushavel Stickland has made the Victorian Junior Talent Squad.

JUNIOR EXCELLENCE PROGRAM
The Australian Junior Excellence Program (JX), recognises rewards and encourages junior swimmers who, through their development of aquatic skills and fitness, achieve a high standard of swimming excellence.
Under the program, swimmers aged from 9 to 13 years, who accomplish times set by Swimming Australia, qualify at Gold, Silver, Bronze or Green standard, depending on their best performance/s during the season.

CLUB'S 100TH YEAR BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
We will celebrate our 100th Birthday with a large reception and pool party at Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre on Saturday 10th October 2009. Many activities including special trophy races are being planned. Food & drinks will be supplied. Souveniers including a 100 Year Book will be on sale. Congratulations to Lushavel Stickland and Thomas Keen for making finals in the 12 & Under Championships.
Khoa Le was the success story during the State Age Championships. Khoa made three finals and his performance earned him two gold and one silver medal

2008 WATER POLO STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GRAND FINALS
Were conducted on Saturday 13th December at MSAC in the bleak Melbourne weather. The action however was hot. Footscray teams were successful in winning the Women & Junior Girls sections with the Mens Team finishing runners up.

2008 PACIFIC SCHOOL GAMES - CANBERRA
Lushavel Stickland wins 4 Bronze Medals. 11 Swims - 11 PB's
The months of preparation for the Pacific Games has paid off for Lushavel, she had a fantastic week and has been ranked No1 in Australia in 3 events.
